Almost Sisters, The Company of Good Women, by Nancy Anderson, Lael Littke and Carroll Hofeling Morris July 18, 2006
This is an LDS fiction, better written than most. I have read other books by Morris that I really liked. This is about three women who meet at BYU Education Week and become friends for life. What I enjoyed is that these are not perfect women leading perfect lives. They question themselves, their looks, their spirituality, etc. They're pretty normal women with concerns, problems and joys that I could relate to. That said, I was very disappointed in the ending. It leaves you hanging.

Sounds like an interesting premise. How is your book for your book club coming? Is anyone in the ward reading it?

Don't know. The review was yesterday. I forgot to ask how it went. It was in the morning. Our literacy specialist just got called to the Primary so may be she cancelled it all together.

That's too bad about losing your literacy specialist, but it also opens up possibilities. One door shuts and another opens, I guess.

Almost sisters is the first book in a trilogy - that's why the ending leaves you hanging! It's a great book. I highly recommend it.
